Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and AlphaLync AI LLC (“we”, “us”) for your use of Family Legacy Empire (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you create a family space, you're its owner and responsible for who you invite and what role you give them.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in secure and don't share your account. Tell us right away at support@alphalyncai.com if you think someone else has accessed it.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, stories and other content you add. You give us a limited license to store, copy, resize, display and transmit that content only as needed to run the Service for your family (for example, to show photos to family members or draft your newsletter). This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies in routine backups for a limited time.

You're responsible for your content. Only add content you have the right to share, and be thoughtful about information concerning other people, especially living relatives and children.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

• post anything illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers minors;
• share someone's private information to harm or embarrass them;
• infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights;
• send spam, upload malware, or try to access other families' spaces or our systems without permission.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. AI features

The newsletter feature uses artificial intelligence to draft a summary from your family's recent activity. Drafts can contain mistakes. An admin should review and edit every draft before publishing it.

6. Plans and payment

The Service may be free during our beta. Paid plans, when offered, renew automatically each month or year until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your family's settings, and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. Payments are processed by Stripe.

7. Leaving and ending the Service

You can leave a family or ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop offering the Service. If we discontinue the Service, we'll give reasonable notice and a way to download your content.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it running and your content safe, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free. Please keep your own copies of photos and documents that matter to you. Genealogical information in the Service is provided by users and may not be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, AlphaLync AI LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll notify account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
